[Electric Boats] Re: triple range half the price

Hi Kirk,

"Battery experts contacted by Design News said they are taking a wait-and-see attitude on the technology." It's nice to see an objective comment in one of these articles...

If I had a dollar for all of the articles like this that I've read since I started building EVs in the 1990's, it would probably pay for another Lithium battery pack for my boat (one that actually exists). So far, 20 years has delivered 1/3 the weight for 3 times the money (comparing usable range of FLA to LiFePO4) when looking at traction battery solutions. I guess that one could look at the same advances
as 3 times the range for 9 times the price at the same weight. None of the other "amazing advances" ever seemed to pan out.

I wouldn't suggest holding your breath waiting for this one....

Fair winds,

PS. with your signature line of "no one gives what he doesn't have", I find it kind of ironic that you keep mentioning stuff that doesn't really exist yet, if ever.
