I am in Northern Mich and looking to do the same. Looking to find a pontoon frame and trailer, want to redeck like "Tammarack solar boats" They have some nice U-Tubes of their product.Called them up and was told Briggs and Straton will be no longer making there nice little 48 volt electrics? Bummer

Hi thanks to all that gave answers to my question on electric populsion for a small pontoon boat... the One I am looking at is similar to an regular pontoon boat but smaller in length.. I want to set it up basically for mostly fishing and crusiing the small electric lakes that prevail in the area I am at, but if I go to the river I plan to use the 5 hp briggs an stratton on it that I have ( I would love to own an briggs an stratton elctric motor personally as they are set up for remote useage anyways, grin)..
