[Electric Boats] Problem with Sevcon Millipak PMAC, Mars brushless motor and PCPak

 

Hi I need some help.

I've just finished wiring up a Mars brushless motor with a Sevcon MillipaK PMAC controller. Everything seems to be wired up OK, but when I push the accelerator pot the motor just vibrates noisily and does not turn. The green light is on and steady so the controller seems happy.

To try to sort this out I got hold of the PCPak and serial port/TTL converter but when I try to connect I get error 109 "Malformed Data" Does anyone know if there is a particular serial port configuration required?

Any help would be appreciated.
