I'm working from home today, according to the Browning literature on my pc the only difference between a 56 & 144 adapter is the input shaft of the motor.
56C- 5/8" shaft
144TC- 7/8" shaft
My montgomery motor has a 1"shaft, Browing was able to provide a 1" input on the 144TC instead of 7/8"
