One of mine, a five "step" twist throttle has all steps in order. The other is a progressive stepless type with that pulse battery saver feature. That one stopped like yours till I took it apart and cleaned, dries etc. the circuit board. The battery saver needs to be kept out of weather more than the step drive. However the pulse drive will give longer battery life, so it seems a better choice if you want longer range.
My latest boat probably will have two 24 volt deep cycle batteries on a 48 volt outboard conversion,. With the switch between a proposed two batt. packs, I always have the second 48 volt pack fresh just in case !! I'm thinking I would get better range without eight batteries per pack, and I have a 48 volt charger set up now. More research is in process on that – but two packs are my requirement for safety.

Subject: [Electric Boats] Mini Kota 24v
Anybody know why a mini Kota seems to only have one speed when you twist the throttle ??
I twist throttle nothing happens then at one spot it comes on strong, then confluence twisting and it dies, seems to have just one sweet spot where it works and it's dearly high trust so it jerks the motor
Cheers
Scotty
