[Electric Boats] thinking about going direct drive

Yeah. Thinking about initially going direct drive with the '4201 motor and the existing prop, which is a 3 blade folding prop, maybe 13" with long skinny leaf type blades. Pitch? I don't have a clue but way less than square, maybe 8". Boat is 27" and 7600 lbs.motor is nominally 2200 rpm at 48v, 90a. Might have to change props later, might add reduction later, but I think I should try this first. what does everyone think? Wasted effort, or no? The old direct drive Atomic spins this prop at about 1800 or a bit more according to the auto zone tach. Mostly I putter along at reduced power, about 4.5 kt when motoring. Might try getting an inch or two cut off the prop and try that before making drastic changes.
