I agree that the motor needs air movement to cool I think it is funny is that no one has put two and two together and come up with, THE ENGINE (motor) ROOM MUST BE VENT BEFORE ANY SOURCE OF IGNITION IS TURNED ON!!! So why is a forced air fan not used to vent heat and fumes from the electric motor (engine) room, and adding a radiator (water, Heat exchange) in front or behind the fan is only common since most boats have water inlet, for the cooling or fresh water system, the cooling could be used with out adding or plugging holes. With the topic of portable gens. on deck, or Propain, and no one has even mentioned the fact that mathane can build up to explosive leavels with just foul water that has pooled (drained) into a confined space. Why is this not common place. I tey to stay quite, but I had to speak out on this one. I use a vent fan on my pump box. starts when the master switch in turned on. turn the motor fan on with motor key (Switch)
