Re: [Electric Boats] Electric Sidewheeler

Cal,

Best way to answer this is the description here:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynch_motor

For turns/strips see:

http://lynchmotors.co.uk/pdfs/lmc-lem-200.pdf

I use the D135 which under load gives me 40.5 RPM/volt and around 0.21 Nm/Amp.

The Saietta/Agni/Lynch are all basically the same. The Etek/Perm/Heinzmann are copies or similar. See:

https://evmc2.wordpress.com/2015/06/15/the-lynch-motor-lynch-lemco-agni-perm-timeline/

The Saietta site has spreadsheets with efficiency at different voltages and current. At my cruise speed the motor is around 88 - 90% efficient.

The Motoenergy motors by John Fiorenza came about I understand because of the Lynch but he didn't have infringe IP as some appear to have due to a different design.
