Re: [Electric Boats] "Batteries Not Included"

It would be very nice to see hull drag data before and after your hull addition. It opens up a world of ideas on repowering old cruisers for low power electric or gas drive. As a battery electric with a generator for backup you should have a capable cruising boat with the usual range limitations. Set it up and enjoy it and pass on the power/range info you get. Then you can try your other ideas and theories from there. My 2 cents.

I too have been wondering about the feasibility of recycling old power cruisers and what what it would take to improve efficiency at displacement speeds. There are thousands of them out there across the US and many can be had for next to nothing.
