I would have wanted to get drag measurements after removing the out drive but before hull mods.
Even just towing the hull with some ballast in place would be enough. Then you could verify your work with before and after figures. It would have been useful in figuring out if all that work was actually worth it. For the amount of work and cost involved, I would have just left the drive and repowered electrically. That's just me, I use cost as a major plan adjustment.
I hope you will put more thought into gathering data for the other plans you have. You will need this to prove them!

Changing the hull design was more of a logical call than data related.
Displacement hulls do use less energy to move through the water than a planing hull.
The addition to the stern was calculated using the current overall measurements.... The width of the stern and length of the V at the bow
both come into play when adding another V to the stern.
