I should clarify this, I own a Warp9 that will eventually end up in another EV car conversion.
My boat conversion is a Propulsion Marine 5.5kW drive that uses a Browning 2.55:1 gear reduction box. I've posted a number of messages that describe my performance and general configuration; i.e. batteries, instrumentation, charger, etc.
I have to say that the system exceeds my expectations and wouldn't change anything for now.
