[Electric Boats] Re: Hello Everybody!

Do you want to get back?

For a 5kt speed, that's about 5 hours runtime (10 for return), and optimally you'll be pulling about 50amps @48V (2.5KW)

That's a LOT of battery -- ~12KW out of what would need to be about a 16-25 KWh pack - if you have a rich uncle you could do it with lithium, but my advice would be to size for harbor maneuvers - maybe 2-3 hours of runtime, and carry a generator.

Now...open ocean with a deck-mounted genny is not foolproof, since you can get big swells and no wind at the same time = wet genny.

An outboard bracket (or carry a dinghy w one and snub to your stern) would be my recommendation.

Also i am replacing my gas Atomic 4..... I will be stoked to get rid of that.... Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks you!
