My DeltaQ charge runs continuesly at 20A, it runs at 30A for a about 5
minutes at the start and then drops back to 20A. I've a 36v system so
20x36 gives me 720W, which gets me over 3/4 speed with my boat.
Remember the power required to move a boat isn't linear, a little power
goes a long way initially, as you approach hull speed the power required
climbs rapidly.

I was assured my charger could cope with being treated as if it was a
power supply. Not all chargers may be so forgiving of the situation,
especially those chargers that individually charge each batteries, mine
charges the string.
