Hi,
I missed a bit in my reply re 90 and 45 for a motor and you asking if you double range. The answer is no, as efficiency is a map.
Scott said he was confused by Torqeedo's ratings but as I've said a few times now they make perfect sense and they do one of the best explanations out there, in which case there is no need to do the full curves as propulsive power/speed vs input power is an ideal performance indicator and their infographics explain well how an IC engine compares. Serial efficiency is what counts. It makes it understandable to the masses and allows people to choose a motor easily to replace their ICE.
I've seen ratings elsewhere that are totally misleading, theirs aren't.
