Robert, King-of, and Cal,
Thansk for you emails (I did not read yours before now Robert and King-of, there is some fuss when the emails are forwarded to my gmail...)
Yes, it is a induction motor with inverter (Siemens), but I doubt that it is programmable to do what our Kelly-controller kan do. But I will check it out!
I have allready contaced Golden Motor. They do have a throttle controller, but they did not provide me with specs, and it is quite expensive...
I have decided to try a diy solution: I will use a diesel engine controller (with integrated gear controller), this is a wire system. Then I will probably use a linear 5k potmeter connected to the speed controll wire, and two micro switches (I think this is the english term) for the forward reverse on the gear controll. If I am successful I will post some pictures...

Just get a 0-5k short travel pot, put a handle and spring, or not, mount ina abox. The reverse is more difficult, you may look at how it is done with golf cart solenoids.

Hi!Has anyone a suggestion for an affordable solution for a thottle lever potentiometer? I am open to diy solutions as well...The motor inverter I will be using has speed controll with a potentiometer (0-5kohms I believe), and direction change is controlled by switching ground to forward or revers terminals on the inverter (sorry for the bad explanation). Preferably I would like throttle and direction change in one lever...
