i see. my venture 21 still has the sail rig. i'm planning a cabin with solar panel[s] on the roof. maybe a collapsible bimini over part of the cockpit with more solar panel[s].
probably, after lightening and streamlining the folding keel [called a swing keel by macgregor] i shall shorten the mast. after all, we're turning her into a motor sailor with sail as the second option.
your hull looks like a good candidate, easily driven. i like the little cuddy. you could put a small wheelhouse/cabin where you can stand to steer as i will.
for power, you might look into incorporating a trolling motor into the rudder. it isn't that hard to do and simplifies matters. looks better than the outboard troller and rudder combo although that is simpler still. i expect you can find a 24v trolling motor that will move her well on lakes. very doable project. best of luck.
