I hope many of you will plan to attend the Wye Island Electric Boat Marathon on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015 at St. Michael's, MD.http://www.electricboats.org . Make a weekend of it and attend the Mid Atlantic Small Craft Festival http://cbmm.org/events/annual-festivals-and-special-events/mid-atlantic-small-craft-festival-and-maritime-model-expo/. on Saturday and Sunday.
Many who attend the Marathon are not in it for the race but just enjoy the day on this beautiful course with other electric boaters. There are often some slower boats that offer to carry non-participants around for the ride. We usually spend the afternoon after the Marathon talking electric boats and then gather for dinner on Friday evening..
I believe we will have some exciting competition this year!
