[Electric Boats] electric fork lift dc motor

 

Hi I bought on ebay a 50 HP electric fork lift dc motor and controler.
I entend to install it on my boat.

I am worry about corrosion and since it needs 48V, i wonder if it would be a problem for charging batteries with solar pannels and wind mills.

What do you think?
