[Electric Boats] do i understand these aspects of brushless motors correctly....?

 

the rpm of the motor is set by the voltage it is supplied....  it then achieves that rpm against the load by drawing whatever amperage is required to attain that rpm level....   if the load is too great either the motor is burned out because it draws more amps than the wiring can handle... the batteries are destroyed as they attempt to supply more amps than they are rated to supply... the motor simply fails to reach the rpm level that it should reach based on its design due to insufficient amps being supplied
