The Kipor 3000THi that I had looked at last year, incidentally, compares
very favorably with the Honda 2K ([grin] the people in the RV forums love
these things, and have taken to calling them "Chondas" - since they're
Chinese-made.) 66 lbs, 2600W/2880W surge, about 22"×12.5"×18", same
noise level as the Honda, can be found for under $1k. The nice bit is
that, unlike the Honda, Kipor will sell you any and all replacement
parts whenever you want them. If my Honda ever dies, that's what I'm
replacing it with.
