[Electric Boats] converted heavy displacement power boat

Hi folks,
I'm new to the group.
I converted my 32 foot Luhrs Cabin cruiser to electric. I sold the twin 318 Chrysler marine engines that were 250HP each and replaced the drives with two 10HP GE electric motors, mounted on golf cart differentials (I welded the internal gears to give me a 12 to 1 ratio at the 17 inch props [to lessen the strain on the motors])
I have two 36 volt battery banks (glass matt) and use relays to give me fwd and rev on both motors.
The top speed in this configuration is 4 mph with a range of 1 hour (4 miles.) I believe I can increase the speed substantially by doubling the voltage to 72 volts (using more relays) and extending the range as well. Of coarse this will take more batteries.
I am selling the boat if anyone is interested.
It is in the water, on the Delaware River, Camden NJ accross from Philadelphia.

take care,
Dave
