Bill's suggestions brings up a good point, not about planing hulls or jet boats, but what does Ernie want? Ernie, are you wanting to investigate the feasibility of electric powered planing jet boats? You'd be in good company. Look at the high-speed performance electric cars. Sure the range is less, but the goal isn't always range or meandering around a pond at walking speeds. What the heck, go for it! Strip the boat of weight and see what happens. Dan
