[Electric Boats] Re: trolling motors

Hi all!

According to their specs, model MR-PA-60200 can handle 200 Amps max.
But if you read the fine prints at the bottom of the page...

Max duration at 100A < 30 secs, 150A < 10 secs, 200A < 5 secs

Would it be able to handle 30 amps continuously? This device is build for electric radio controlled air plane. It will also work great on e-bikes, but I'm not sure about larger motor used in marine propulsion, even a trolling motor. I personally don't like when high current is going thru such a small device for extended period. The size of the wires says it all. I prefer using a shunt, like on the Paktrakr.

Ciao!
