Hi Joe,
I think this is a great idea, and would like to offer a small improvement if you don't mind. I have been slowly building a spreadsheet using OpenOffice (free from OpenOffice.org and just as good or better as any other software around) that lists all of the boat parts that I have accumulated for whatever reason but have no use for today. If I ever complete this project I plan to post it on the web sites for the groups I belong to, including this one, including my asking prices, condition of parts, etc.
As parts are sold off I will update that document and simply post a short note to the groups letting them know it has changed. This should keep the occasional complaints about my "crass merchandising scheme" down to a dull roar and still let people who might have some use for the stuff a chance to buy it at a reasonable cost.
