"As to the Buss bar, isn't it a "slip over" the negative wire? I don't believe it's connected directly to a terminal." Steve: The Paktrakr current probe IS designed to slip over a wire normally. However, it does not slip over 2 AWG sized wire which is what I have for the battery wiring and motor wiring. So unfortunately I have to install the optional copper bus bar and slide the current sensor over it to use the Paktrakr current function. If it were just a little bit bigger it would be fine. But, otherwise I have no complaints about the Paktrakr and I'm glad I bought it. Very convenient to check on the individual battery bank voltages. It would be perfect if the current sensor would fit over the 2 AWG wire though. I'll probably install it anyway but, I'd still rather not have had the connection and corrosion worries if I could have avoided them. Capt. Mike --- On Sun, 2/7/10, Steve D <sdolan@scannersllc.
