This is a topic I have followed for a while and it is full of pictures and information about how to build a motor from an alternator.
It's a long thread, with some dissention, but if one moves past all that there is some good stuff.
After looking at Arby Brent's link and finding a link to partners, it went to a site called "Thunder Struck", kinda looked like there might be some connection to the thread below. Hope someone in the boat crowd might find it a little bit useful.
