[Electric Boats] Re: PWM controller for a Trolling motor

Any suitably rated brush motor controller should do. One place to explore is the electric bicycle/electric scooter area, older models used quite powerful brush motors.

One very reputable eBay seller is Keywin Ge, who trades via this eBay store: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/HuaQiang-North-Road__W0QQ_armrsZ1

I've purchased several controllers from him for different applications (I'm in the UK, so they've been long distance orders)and he's been very helpful. If he doesn't list something you're after, he'll happily just send a PayPal invoice direct if you email him.

Off the top of my head I'm not sure what the voltage/current rating of the Minkota is, but the chances are that one like the $24, 36V, 40 amp unit, with the low voltage cut-off reduced (a fairly simple internal mod that Keywin may do for you if you ask) might do the job.
