It really is about cycle life. If you have a BMS then it depends on how often the battery dips to the voltage that starts the charge cycle. This has nothing to do with the MPPT controller.
If the BMS kicks in at 10% discharge, every time the BMS kicks in it would be 10% of a cycle.
So if the BMS kicks in once a month then it would take 10 months to make one cycle. If you get a true lets say 2000 cycles that would make...years.
