Sounds like your boat has a lot of mass to it. Most people use a 48v system since the CG regulations are not too involved. But for something bigger, you may consider going to 60v or 72 volts, and make sure you follow the appropriate CG wiring regulations. At the higher voltage your amp draw will be lower. That will help with range. This where i would start if it were me.
