Mark: I would always double check the Paktrakr. It's a very good and handy measuring meter for EP boats. But, I have had to take into account various anomalies when using it. For example since the Paktrkr takes it's operating voltage off of the most "negative" battery in the bank that battery voltage is always lower than others in the bank sometimes by almost a volt when the bank is fully charged. Once in awhile I disconnect the Paktracker and charge the bank up and let it rest to make sure that the pack is in balance by measuring each battery with a digital voltmeter before hooking up the Paktraker again. I also had a battery failing alarm when using the Paktrakr but, it appeared to be a loose connection on one of the Paktrker leads and has not returned. As for the jumper heating up. Before I would condemn the battery I would check or replace the battery jumper. I look at them and their connections as the weak links in the battery bank. I would also probably remove and clean all the battery connections while you are at it. Let us know what you find. Mike --- On Sat, 6/18/11, acsarfkram <acsarfkram@yahoo.com> wrote:
