Re: [Electric Boats] Curtis Controller Programming

Buy the identical cheaper one and contact Steve Speak at: steve@Bolinger.biz  He is a master programmer of Curtis products and programs boats daily.  In Florida I think.  Good people and has great information.

That is my 2-cents worth,
Dan

Subject: [Electric Boats] Curtis Controller Programming

Hi all, we are new to the group and looking for suggestions to a motor controller issue. We look forward to any and all comments.  We have an Elco EP12 48 volt motor installed in or Tartan 34C sailboat.  The issue is the Curtis 1236-6301 controller crapped out and is unrepairable. The repair facility reported the controller UR due to 5V line damage, micro short.

I am looking for alternatives to my controller issue. Of course Elco would like to sell me the same Curtis programmed controller for $2400.  I can buy the identical same Curtis controller for $500 from a different vender. But it would need to be programmed.  Please advise.   Thank you.
