Eric: I too thought the Torqeedo solar panel was over priced. Seems to me if the Torqeedo only needed 12 volts for charging (I thought the voltage was higher) three 15 watt panels from a place like Harbor Freight at around $200 (or less) might be an economical alternative. Yeah, you'll have to be a little more careful with them moving them around but, they would be easier to deal with than one big panel. You can just lay them across the seats with a little lashing when you are not using the dingy I think it could work. I'll probably go with an electric outboard once my Honda BP-2 gives up the ghost. Till then I'm keeping an eye on developments. I don't actually use my dingy out board much but, when I do I am struck by the noise and gas consumption of the sucker. Capt.
