(this looks pretty cool - because it's basically one metal thingy rotating around another metal thingy - it's a generator head AND an engine in one tight little package).

They appear to be claiming something like 5KW output in a package not much larger than a battery - and only about 25lbs to boot. They use some mis-leading phrasing..like "hybrid battery" - it's not - it's a genset, but I guess they want to keep it "green".

It's a completely sealed unit -- no drive shaft at all; 2 electrical contacts are it's only "output" making it seem ideal for marine use.

Worth keeping an eye on as a range extender. (though I continue to hold out hope for DMFC fuel cells...Oorja where art thou?)
