[Electric Boats] Re: Weight loss

 

Hi Anne,

Do you mean that the bow is sitting lower relative to the stern? That is what I found after installing the eight 12 volt AGM's under the settees on my Ericson 27. Bow down 1 1/2" - 2". I also have two 12 volt house batteries so I moved them to the stern lazarette. I have noticed no adverse affect to sailing performance. Aesthetically I like the lower bow on the E27. To my eye Ericson 27's tend to look a little squat in the stern and the Electric Ericson 27 looks to sit on her lines a bit better.
