Good work on the Solar Bimini design, looks pretty cool. I am thinking of doing something similar, so it's great seeing yours, very inspirational. In my case my back stay splits into an upside-down Y shape and so makes it hard for me to do something like yours with the stay in the middle. Are the panels connected to each other with bolts in the middle? I was thinking if they were bolted together in the middle with a spacer big enough to accommodate the back stay width then perhaps it would add stability and help with the sag. I've been wondering wether to bolt the panels together as well. I really wish I could get something like this over my stern and something like this over my cockpit and have like a 1kW, that would be pretty sweet.
I'm assuming the halyard you have connected at the front of the panels is for adjusting the angle and then the whole rig pivots back to get the 45 degree you described? That's a pretty cool idea, thanks for sharing.
