Back about the year your C&C was built, I repowered my wood cutter rigged "Samurai class" sail cruiser with a new Atomic 4, old one rusted out. We put beams across the gunnels, carefully jacked the motor on that grid work, put the jack on the dock. Darn, it just slipped sideways -- oh well, no use diving in that muck. Here,-- have another Mai Tai with that Marlboro. Too bad electric wasn't an option then.

Subject: [Electric Boats] Atomic 4 Decommisioning [10 Attachments]
For those considering replacing their Atomic 4 with something else, attached are pics of the A4 final removal from my 1976 C&C 33-1. I'm going electric. It's not that difficult to get the engine block into the cockpit, but it takes a community to get it off the boat.
