Can you not reverse the motor?  I think some of the controllers may limit how much power you can apply in reverse, so you might have to reverse the connections on the motor itself - but I wouldn't think that would be so hard to do.  Otherwise, (at least for proof of concept), just run the motor in reverse?

As for the Torqeedo prop - I was thinking of using the larger 3 blade prop that comes on the Torqeedo 2R and 4R.

I too am looking for a trolling motor with pitch.  The Torqueedo propellers are right hand screw propellers.  See here:

All the trolling motors I have or that I have seen/noticed use left hand screw propellers.  A Torqueedo prop can not be adapted.

If anyone has a solution to this dilemma of getting a higher pitch prop onto a trolling motor - please let me know!!!!
