Yes, you can spin a PMAC motor as a generator. I believe that a couple of people in this group have worked on this idea with different models of MARS motors. It think that these systems were all configured for 48V, but 96V might be doable too.
You might want to contract James of Propulsion Marine, I think that he mentioned working on a generator prototype with a ME0913.
