The motor kit on Amazon comes with a 6kw brushless motor, 48-72v controller, and throttle.... all for $400 maybe a tad more now, with terriffs. The mount took an afternoon in the workshop... sorced a few used electric motorcycle(surron) batteries $400 each on fb marketplace with a charger. I used a mercury 6hp base($100 blown up on market place) and put the largest prop I could find to fit it. All in all I'm I'm probably $2000 but I cooked one battery before I learned the limits...........and a $400 Amazon motor kitplus at least another $6-800 for the controller then probably another $2k for someone to make the motor to outboard adapter mounting plate and coupler. The cheapest complete electric powerhead kit I have seen is from Australia and its $5k Australian$.I paid $750+$450 US$ shipping for a brand new entire 5kW outboard from Thailand. I think its based on a Yamaha or Tahatsu 4hp, cause the prop is pretty small, but it does have a water pump.I haven't put it on anything yet but I have hooked it up and it seems to work.![]()
