I cancelled my Yahoo email account several years ago when Yahoo had major security issues. I been forced to open the Yahoo account to join the group I have continued to receive posting messages to my gmail account even though I cannot check into the group.
I designed a website with a pre-formatted forum for my friend Kevin Mueller for his BoatsInTheBelfry.com We considered moving the postings and database from a previous host server but it was way too difficult (if it was even possible) so... I had to screen capture all the pages of the old forum about his restoration project and save it as image files. So, we had at least a non-interactive archive of critical information.
My own interest was in the history of electric boats, Edison, etc for videos I make.
