RE: [Electric Boats] Memory effect now also found in lithium-ion batteries

 

In fact there have been experiments suggesting lithium cobalt has this too – but  it also means the cell is very  recyclable because of the good chemistry which can be recovered. And still it isn’t noticeable in relation to the issues with PB and the fact that new they have a 50% of rated capacity is there to be used with much accelerated aging rates.

 

I have a feeling whatever anyone buys now – they will replace them with something totally different in a decade or more.
