Re: [Electric Boats] Any larger electric boat owners out there?



Most really large boat drive electric motors with diesels, Two
companies make this setup for smaller boat both are way over priced:

I will be building something similar near the end of the summer but
the generator will be gas and for range extending not primary
propulsion.

If you don't mind dealing with 312v DC this setup might fit the bill,
You will be hard pressed to find a generator that puts out that kind
of voltage. But if you find one reasonable priced let me know.
