Just got added looking around to see what people are using. I just picked up a 1977 Newport Mkii 30' that he been repowered to electric.
It has 8 6v US 125 XC2 batteries, tripplite 120-48v charger inverter, a nonbranded motor controller and a UK made LEM motor(5kw). Boat displaces 8000lbs, think motor is a lil undersized.
Boat sat a number of years ago with float charge going. Found 4 batteries with plates exposed. Still working to try and figure out if their ok or just ballast.
