I've messed with a solar only canoe, and am currently working on the New/Improved model with pics of both under the titles 'solar powered canoe' and 'solar canoe II'
Well as happens I got sidetracked by a kayak and trolling motor package on Craig's List for $100. I took the PVC outriggers off my original solar canoe and rigged them up to the kayak. So this worked well as I didn't drown but not really 'neat' as a kayak is very confining in so much as you have to pretty well sit in one position.
But it was fun to get out in the shop and have a beer messing with the project.
