Well you peaked my interest.
I assume you have a 420 Lagoon? If so they could initially be purchased with a 72V system. I’m just wondering if you had any experience with that system prior to going to the 144V system. You see I have a 410 SE with the Solomons Tech system running 144V. I also have a 16KW diesel genset which I wish was a little bigger only for maximizing the motors potential, I run at a max of 9KW at about 7-8 knots. I’m just wondering why you’re running so big. I’m also running 12 AGM’s at this time @ 200AH.
I’m not sure I understand why you’re running diesels as backups. With a proper sized Genset you can run as long as you have fuel on board, probably longer than used as propulsion, since the genset usually gets better mileage. Are you then going to maintain the sail drives?
One thing I’m very interested in is a solar controller that can handle 144V output to the propulsion bank. Have you seen anything over there?

Prop size is 24 inch RH 22 pitch 85 % area three blade and expect a cruise speed of 10/11 knotts @ 1200 rpm on the motor
