Your referring to nickel metal hydride cells greater than 10 a/hr? I think that was Chevron that bought and then buried that patent. I used to work for the oil industry, that caused me to take up EVs, as those people have no conscious.

I wouldn't put anything past them. I know they use patents to stop competition with oil.

I've followed this company for quite awhile. IMHO, I think it is a shell company of a oil company in hopes of drying up venture capitol for real battery advancements.
