current and calculated run time remaining easily.

One thing that is handy - although I can 'feel' it - if my prop gets
fouled by sea-grass, the current shoots up and I know to back off the
power - although a keeled sail boat isn't likely to run in that
particular issue - I have a 50cm draft... ( I measured my leg after
realising that when I'd run aground and jumped over the side to push the
boat off, the water came up to my knees :-)
At least I don't have a cooling water intake to get blocked like I used
to have. I once 'cooked' the engine when the water intake got blocked by
sea grass. The paint started to burn on the cylinders :-)
(What's that smell ?. Open engine compartment. Ohh @%#$, hit the kill
switch, then dive over the side and try to clear the water in take....)
