After having so much fun with our conversion of a Roberts 29 I've decided to add more batteries.
I have a 15s 3p bank of 90 Ah Winston batteries.
270 Ah total, 80% usable = 216 Ah
They are monitored with a Batrium BMS with 45 individual cell monitors daisy chained in series.
All has been working very well with solar charging for over a year.
I want to add 15s 180Ah Calb batteries in parallel with the other banks. I intend to add 15 cell monitors and daisy chain all 60.
Same chemistry, different amp hours.
270 + 180 = 450 x 0.8 = 360 usable
Do you foresee any problems with ruining different Ah packs in parallel?
Thanks for your thoughts
Mich
