Hi Dave !
I was unaware somebody ever built a hydrogenerator in an outboard similar enclosure, I only know the complex setups where you're suppose to drag a prop behind the boat.
Do you know who built this unit (and if they're stil lin business)?
Because I had the same idea, work in reverse, not trying to get regen from a motor as this seems a difficult thing to master but running the gen as a motor ... There is documentation on how to run an alternator as a motor, just don't know if the hardware (especially bearings) can take this...
It's indeed great to be able to put on a big prop without having to start rebuilding the leg to (re)move the cavitation plate...
I'm curious !
