We had 5 entries and a few interested parties come out to the 9th annual Wye Island Electric Boat Marathon held on Oct 1-2 in St. Michaels, MD. The race was scheduled for Friday Oct 1 but was smartly postponed until the following day due to some really nasty weather running up the Atlantic seaboard.
Race participants included Geoff Elliot, Jay Bliss, Jim Campbell (eCanoe), Tom Hessilink (Budsin Woodcraft), and Todd Sims (EPower Marine). Former participant Paul Kidd joined us for launching and dinner. Special thanks to Tom Hessiink from Budsin Woodcraft for organizing this event year after year. We will be updating the EBAA site www.electricboats.org) with official times.
We have had past entries from Florida, Michigan, and other far away places. Please consider running your boat in next year's race (First weekend in October) and also check the EBAA site for information on the April marathon in Florida.
